SUSTAINABILITY
Our expertise lies in the field of technical environmental protection - it is for this purpose that CSC activated carbons are used. As a company, we ensure that less mercury is released into the environment from flue gases and that micropollutants are removed from our water. We are therefore right in the middle of the action with our activated carbons. As not only the end result is important to us, but also how we reach this result, we strive every day to make our activated carbon product greener and more sustainable - right from its manufacture to its use and on to its final disposal.
That is why we are conducting research into the manufacture of activated carbon from alternative, sustainable raw materials. We have also made the recycling of activated carbon our corporate focus. Spent activated carbons are treated in our unique modern and environmentally friendly regeneration furnace so that they are available for reuse. In this way large quantities of activated carbon are saved every year. Every ton of regenerated carbon means that: 5 tons less coal and 30 - 50 tons less overburden have to be removed from mines, and that one ton less rubbish has to be disposed of expensively. This is what circular economy is all about!

As well as the sustainability of our products, the resource-saving operation of our site in Vettweiss is also important to us. This is being achieved by our investment in a 750 KW photo-voltaic facility so that we are as far as possible self-sufficient in our electricity supply, and that this supply is renewable. Our entire vehicle fleet has meanwhile been electrified so that it is CO2 neutral.
For us, sustainability as the basis for our corporate activity also means moving the company forward in good health over the long term. We want to create a consistent value on which our customers, suppliers and staff can rely. It is therefore no surprise that we have developed the largest optimization projects with customers with whom we have enjoyed a business relationship of mutual trust over many years.
